High School Dos and Donts

make the best of your 4 years of high school you might think that 4 years is a long time but it will go by so fast.

Remember to complete your FAFSA as soon as possible during your senior year of High School. You would be surprised who the government gives financial aid to.

take a vocational class. If your school offers vocational classes, find one that is interesting to you and sign up for it. It gets you the experience of a community college class without paying those awful fees and they are very easy most of the time.

save your money NOW. Not saying to avoid going to the movies or go out to eat with your pals, but when life after high school hits you whether it’s college or not, you’re going to want to have a good chunk of change sitting around in case shit hits the fan.

remember to get a job as soon as possible. After school activities are awesome, but when it comes to getting that new MP3 player, cool new jacket or even a car; you want to be able to say that you bought those things yourself. You just look like an idiot when mommy and daddy buy you everything. Plus when you’re 18 with little to no job history, not many places will want to hire you until you have a college degree and even that has no guarantee.

work hard, be kind, be active.

Also, it’s good to understand that 90% of the stuff you experience in high school (non academically) is in fact trivial, so don’t sweat it.

have fun. Live life to the fullest. Party it up when your young because it’s not as fun when your older.

your homework and don’t slack off.
Work hard but make a balance between work and play.

wrap it before you tap it. No fun to have a kid at 15 and it’s also no fun to avoid sex till marriage. So if you’re going to do it, do it the right way.

remember that you are only in high school and that you have your entire life left to live!!
